Tune of the Week

Throughout most of this year, I have been promoting my contemporary novel, The Caseworker’s Memoirs. By that I mean going on radio, giving talks in libraries, gracing the pages of magazines and newspapers … and you know, one of the questions I often get asked is to do with music.

Do I listen to music whilst I write?

Does music influence my writing?

Does music help me get into the writing mood?

Well, firstly, no. I don’t listen to music whilst I write because not only am I male, and therefore can’t do more than one thing at a time, but also I find it very off putting. But I can’t deny that music doesn’t influence me. I mean, music surely influences everybody in every sector of life?

Since starting this blog, I’ve only written about music the once – where I talked about the relationship of Music and Teenagers.

I thought it would be really interesting to show you what song has been my most listened to this week – or a song that has influenced me / made me stop and listen … Every week, I’ll be showcasing some of my finds.

This week it is the new single by Canadian star Fefe Dobson – Legacy

Available to download from: Amazon UK / Amazon US
